Diet: dairy-free, sugar-free
Servings: 4 glasses
- 1 tsp roasted and ground chicory root or roasted dandelion root (instant chicory drink works too, but be sure the ingredients are pure)
- 2 dates
- 250 ml boiling water
- 250 ml plant milk
- 1 tbs raw cacao powder
- 2 tsp maca powder
- ¼ tsp vanilla bean powder (or a dash of vanilla extract)
- 1-2 tsp coconut oil
Place the dates into a large mug or small saucepan
If using chicory root, put into a tea strainer and place in with the dates and pour boiling water over them and let them steep together for about 10 minutes.
Combine all other ingredients into a blender. Add in the dates and chicory tea and blend until smooth.
Pour into a sauce pan and serve warm or pour over ice and serve chilled.
